Use «be going to» + infinitivo para hablar acerca de planes e intenciones. Ejemplo: I’m going to do my homework tonight.

Con «be going to» + go. no se necesita repetir go. Ejemplo: She’s going (to go) to the post office.

Use «be going to» con frases que involucren un tiempo futuro que se realizaran pronto como son: mañana, esta semana, la siguiente semana, en dos años. Por ejemplo: In two weeks’ (time) I’m going to be on vacation!

Ejemplos:

• It is going to rain tonight.
• You are going to dance with Liz.
• I am going to call you.
• It is not going to rain tonight.
• You are not going to dance with Liz.
• Which bank are you going to work at, Ana?
• Where are you going to look for a new apartment, Cris?
• When are you going to college. Ale?
• How are you going to travel, Ale and Cris?
• She’s going to college next year.
• Is English going to be useful for you?
• Are you going to see your family next weekend?

1. Lee los ejemplos anteriores en voz alta.
2. Traduce los ejemplos anteriores y anótalos.
3. Leyendo únicamente el texto traducido, escríbelos en ingles.
4. Lee nuevamente los ejemplos anteriores sin traducirla imaginándote las acciones.
5. Escribe en Ingles «Rafael, ¿Qué vas a hacer este fin de semana?» Poniendo en orden las siguientes palabras (weekend?, Rafael, this, what, do, are, to, going, you), y envía tu respuesta llenando los del final de esta sección.
6. Verbos que comúnmente podemos usar con going to: have, go for, get, move, start, do, go, learn, stay, take. Coloca los verbos anteriores en el lugar correspondiente:
